Oscar Is In Town

The 2011 Oscars are this weekend and our office is buzzing. While it seems like every year we have one more awards show on the schedule, the Academy Awards are ALWAYS the peak of the season.

This year we'll be watching the fashion with a close eye (as always). We're expecting lots of big statement pieces and color diamonds and gemstones. Stars usually opt for a complete look from designers they work with to create memorable outfits. A lot of hard work is going into this weekend from stylists, PR reps, fashion and jewelry designers, and media. Los Angeles is electric with activity right now.

We're already getting some insider-only rumors about who will be wearing what, so it will be interesting to see what shows up on the red carpet. Sometimes, decisions come down to the last minute, so its always an exciting time pre-show.

Zultanite On The Rise - Centurion 2011

Centurion 2011 just finished a busy show and Zultanite was a sponsor of the event. Representatives from Zultanite were in attendance answering questions and reaching out to the jewelry designers and retailers who were curious about this amazing stone.

Designers like Erica Courtney and Rhonda Faber Green had zultanite collections for show visitors to marvel at. Many other designers with a wide variety of design aesthetics have shown interest in making jewelry with the color changing diaspore. Recently, Daniel Gibbins, Christian Tse, and Evelyn H have been creating new pieces featuring Zultanite stones.

The Zultanite team also reached out to influential editors by providing stones to be viewed in different lighting conditions to show off the stone's amazing visual characteristics. The team also had complete sets of marketing materials for visitors wanting to learn more about Zultanite.
